Oasis Counseling for Women and Children hosted the sixth Oasis of Hope luncheon on March 13 at The Club. DeLynn Moring Zell was honored for her exceptional contributions to Oasis in a critical time of transition and her long-term commitment to the agency. She was also recognized for her vast community support. Chairpersons were Ed Hardin, Jr. and Deborah White.

Patty McDonald and Beth Bradley narrated stories about how Oasis helped two clients rebuild their lives through affordable, professional counseling. Thomas Andrew’s commemorative artwork created for Oasis was unveiled. Ten-year old pianist Miki Kato and 14-year old singer Madelyn Reynolds performed. Board president Joe Sandner and board secretary Steve Brickman reminded attendees of the vital role Oasis plays in restoring self-sufficiency and well-being to women and children. Oasis raised $124,425 and 400 people were in attendance.
