Oasis Women’s Counseling Center, a nonprofit organization and a United Way partner, supports the emotional well-being of women and children in the Birmingham, Alabama, metropolitan area including the counties of Jefferson, Shelby, Blount, St. Clair and Walker. A provider of mental health services and educational programs since 1995, Oasis’ history centers on a compassionate commitment to the community.
Oasis provides high-quality, affordable, mental health counseling to women who do not have adequate resources to obtain care from private practitioners. Oasis fills a critical gap in care for these women with limited incomes who could not otherwise afford vital mental health services.
One of the few counseling centers in the state of Alabama devoted exclusively to women, Oasis provides:

- Individual, group, family, and play therapy.
- Innovative educational groups.
